Printing is a new technique for traditional electronic companies and the integration of printing with electronics and material science is nowadays promising to offer low cost and high volume electronic devices. The area of printed RFID is expanding rapidly with the increasing trend of integrating RFID tags into supply chains. Companies are beginning to turn toward electronic printed RFID tags on label papers. Finding the best formulation of conductive ink, the most suitable printing process and application is nowadays great challenge in printing industry and material science. Research is concentrated on conductive in formulations and printability on paper substrates. Metals as well as conductive polymers are being used in conductive ink formulations. Effect of different printing process parameters is also studied.
