In this seminar, we
consider the Latin text of the Apocalypse, the commentary it engendered,
and the approaches medieval painters took toward illustrating its
visionary text. The illuminated manuscript traditions of both early
medieval Spain and Gothic England are taken into account.

but an elementary knowledge of Latin is assumed |
