In this seminar, we consider the medieval history of the community at Christ Church, the fabric of the cathedral church, the impact of the cult of Thomas Becket on the community and the church, and the manuscripts produced in the Christ Church scriptorium.

Students are required to attend at least two of three sessions on Christ Church at the 40th International Congress on Medieval Studies. Students are expected to plan their schedules accordingly.
