When I graduate from Western Michigan I want to be an accountant. After I graduate with a degree in accounting I am going to become CPA certified.  My aunt and uncle are accountants and one thing that they always mention is that you will always have a job. Job security is becoming more and more important. I never knew what I wanted to be but when I started to look at what I  was good at in school I was always good at math and setting up charts and tables in excel and that is some of the things that an accountant needs to be good at. College is going to help me with these goals because if I end up not being interested in accounting I will find that out before I graduate. And if I do want to proceed with accounting Western is very proactive with helping their graduates get internships and jobs.
My personal goals that I have are to meet a lot of new people. I have plenty of friends now but by meeting new people you learn a lot about yourself. All of my friends I have now all come from the same households and have a lot of the same habits. So by meeting new people from different states it gives you a lot of experience and tests your people skills. Western can help me with this because of the diversity that you see on a college campus it is easy to meet a new person from different states and even countries.
