Update catalogs and pricing information

Meet with manufacturer’s representatives

Order samples for finish boards

Organize and maintain library

Product research

 

  • Design Studio

Finish material selection

Finish material board layout

Materials presentations

Programming – attend client meetings

Space planning

Furniture selection and layout

Custom furniture design

Assist in design presentations

Prepare materials for design presentations – render floor plans, elevations, etc.

Take on small projects under supervision of a designer

 

  • Project management

Maintain meeting minutes

Maintain project records

 

  • Construction documents

CAD drafting – minor construction revisions

Field measurement and documentation of existing conditions

Attend construction coordination meetings

 

  • Construction administration

Attend construction meetings and maintain meeting minutes

Review and process submittals and shop drawings

Assist in developing punch list

 

  • Post occupancy

Follow up on outstanding furniture installation

Provide as-built and record documents for clients and project records

 

  • Mentor  shadowing / apprenticeship experience
