2002-2003: Curriculum improvement proposal submitted for Merchandising emphasis [New course- FCS 330 Entrepreneurship in FCS/baccalaureate writing; offer additional course options in MKTG]. Approved.

 

2001-2002: Curriculum improvement proposal submitted for Merchandising emphasis. [Add Com 104/170, BUS 175, FCS 422]. Approved.

 

1999-2000:  Curriculum improvement proposal submitted for Merchandising emphasis. [Change FCS 430 to merchandising capstone course.] Approved.

 

Teaching Innovations

 

2004. Development of graduate level course on international aspects of the textile and apparel

industry.

 

2003-2004. Development of Entrepreneurship course as baccalaureate writing course for Textile

and Apparel Studies major.

 

2004.   Developed interactive entrepreneurship case study project in collaboration with Downtown Kalamazoo Inc. and area entrepreneurs.

 

2001.   Developed Career Matrix Project for introductory course.
