ABOUT LINLEAR
Linlear is a four person rock'n' roll band based out of Kalamzoo Michigan at Western Michigan University. The four guys are:
Lead Singer/Guitarist Gordon van Gent
Rhythm Giutar/Keys/Vox Derek Brown
Bass Kevin Richardson
Drums Will Harris
All the members of Linlear met at Western Michigan University's School of Music and all have been thouroughly jazz trained. This side project linlear was started by Gordon in the hopes that his music he was writing could become a reality. By his sophomore year at WMU, Gordon had found the guys who were destined to be a part of Linlear.
Gordon is a Jazz guitar and a voice major at western Michigan university. He met Kevin when both asked to be a part of the Gold Company program's rhythm section. Kevin and Gordon hit it off and became great friends. Derek Brown was a singer in the group who noticed Gordon's love of melodic rock, not to mention his faith. The three all became friends, but linlear wasn't formed until the next year when Will harriss made GC as well. The four guys created what you now know as Linlear.
Get one thing straight. Linlear is a band based around God and his one and only son Jesus Christ. Gordon writes what is on his heart, and when he looks, Jesus tends to be there. The gifts and talents these musicians have are directly from their savior and they know it. Ask them about it and they will let you know who God is and what he can do for you're life!
