My Father and I

Personally, my goal is to become someone that people respect and lookup to for guidance and help. I am hoping that college will be a factor in helping me reach this goal; I know for sure that my family has already given me a sense of achieving this goal. Being the oldest sibling of four children and oldest grandson of fourteen grandchildren I have always had a type of leadership role in family and because of this I have learned how to present myself in a respectable manner towards people. After college helps me grow up a little more, it is also my goal and dream to start a family of my own.

Professionally, my goal is to graduate from Western Michigan University with a business degree in Finance and Commercial Law within the next two and a half years. After achieving this goal I have been flirting with the idea of attending law school to get a business law degree, may be real estate law. I have thought about applying to several law schools, University of Detroit or University of Miami Florida. Of course none of this will happen unless I do well at Western Michigan University for the next two and a half years pulling off a more than decent GPA. Even if the law school does not pan out I will return home to Florida and work with my family. The family is involved in many different businesses. The major business is called Lanzo Construction Company, which is a sewer construction company. They are also involved in plastic moldings for the automotive industry, as well as land developing. I would like work in the land development part of the family business and real estate investment. I feel that is the fastest growing part of business today. I think that our family will do much better if we expand and I would also like to be apart of that. I would like to make permanent offices across the nation. That is my goal professionally; to one day make the family business grow nationally and may be even internationally.
