I am a Sophomore at Western Michigan University. I am majoring in Spanish and Business. I came to college because I wanted to learn more about how the world works and learn more about myself. One can learn a great deal about themselves at college simply because they now live alone (no parents). When I graduate college, I hope to have a better understand of myself and I also hope to come out with great knowledge in the subjects that I have dedicated my time to.
Still I do not know what I want to do professionally in my life after college. Although I am studying business, I do not really enjoy it nor have much interest in it. As of now I know that I would not like to work for someone and be just another employee in the sea of workers. I hope to do a little bit more with my life. But I am still very young and the future is unknown. I feel that having a business degree is very good for someone that has an unknown future because one can do many things with the knowledge of business. It is a broad degree. As for my Spanish career, I will be fluent upon graduation from WMU. I will have lived a year in Spain and learned a great deal about my passion, Spanish.
