I am really looking forward to having your child in my English class. Throughout the semester we will be learning about several different forms of literature. We will discuss some adolescent literature pieces as well as reading Thoreau and Emerson. We will read some Shakespeare plays and sonnets as well. I want your child to be prepared for class so they can actively participate in the class discussions. If I have reading assignments I expect them to have read the material. All of the homework will be posted on the syllabus so you can view the homework for the week. I will update the syllabus every month so you can see what your child in doing in my class throughout the month. Once again I am very excited to have your child in my class and I hope I can meet you at parent-teacher conferences.
