My name is Christine Hummel.  I work at The Evaluation Center and I enjoy working on the computer.  I use Access, Excel, Word, Publisher, WordPerfect, and PowerPoint every day. I am skilled in manipulating pictures, which include resizing and editing them.   I have begun working on a degree in EbizD.  In the fall semester I took Web Design and Visual Basics.  Both were interesting but taken together was rather difficult, not something I would recommend.

Assignment 1-My hometown

This Web site was designed around my hometown, which is Parchment.  In this design I used hotspots in a few of the pictures to connect to other Web sites.  I also started creating a Web page for my son which was connected to the picture of my family and the hotspot around my sons face.

Assignment 2 - Order Form

I created an order form.  I used a table with buttons, checkboxes, drop-down, and text boxes.   Included was a submit button which once pushed would send the order via e-mail to my e-mail.

Banner - This is the banner for my order form

Assignment 3 - Honey Do-ers

This Web page was a specific Web site.  The Web site was for people who were looking for assistance around their homes, and other areas of their life.  We used a main picture for the background that stayed stationary when the page was scrolled through.  Each area on this site also included a clip art picture that represented each item hosted.  Each area also connected to my e-mail address for people who wanted additional information.

Repair - The Honey Do-er that would assist with repairs and installations.

Wasing - A Honey Do-er doing some general housework.

Food - Some of the food that can be prepared by our Honey Do-ers.

Hair Styling - One of our hair stylist Honey Do-ers working on a client.

Photography - One of our Honey Do-er photographers.

Assignment 4 - Tutorial for a computer issue

This assignment was to create a four page how-to on some thing to do with computer issue or tools.  My tutorial was on the use of the transparent color tool, plus its use in publisher and how-to insert clip art.  In this Web page I used screen shots as I worked through the steps to give people actual examples of what the process would like.  The four pages were connected together and a user would be able to go back and forth between the pages, plus connect to my other assignments as well as my index page.

Final Project - The MHL Museum of Art

I am part of Team 6.  We were assigned Arts and Humanities.  We chose to design a Web site for a fictitious art museum.  We used a DWT without a table.  We only used CSS and layers for our designs.  The logo was designed by Bart and many of the pictures were from my own photo album.  We made the boxes at the bottom of our Web site to change pictures when you mouse over them.  The URL for our Web site is:  http://homepages.wmich.edu/~
