Welcome to the Jane Austen Web Quest! Here you will learn about the Jane Austen novel entitled Pride and Prejudice. The purpose of the quest is to help you gain a better understanding of the novel; particularly focusing on the significance of the major themes and symbols in the novel.
To begin, click on the Overview link on the left and find a brief summary of the novel, along with information on the novel’s two leading characters. After reviewing some basic information, click on the Introduction link to help you become become familiar with the major themes and symbols introduced in the novel, which will be helpful to your quest. The explanations of these themes will help to further understand some of the different events that occur throughout the novel, including their significance to the story as a whole.
From there, click on the Quest(ions) link and you will encounter your quest. Upon completing the task you will find that the information included is crucial to the exploration of the novel. A detailed layout can be found in the Process link, which should be used as a guide for completing the expectations of the quest.
For additional material, use the provided sites in the Resources link. The expected criteria and grading rubric for the assignment can be found in the Evaluation section. Click on Conclusion once you have completed the quest.
