Collegiate Objective |
On a personal level I came to college to learn how to fly. Off hand that might sound a bit professional, however, I have wanted to fly ever since I could talk. Initially when my mother asked me “what I wanted to be when I grew up?” before I could really comprehend the question, I answered that I wanted to be a bird. So, personally I came to Western Michigan University to get my private pilots license and instrument license. I also came to Western Michigan University to get out of my home town and away from my parents with the hope that doing both would improve my relationship with them. Leaving also allowed me to reinvent myself and become the person that I have always wanted to be.
Professionally my goal is to get my commercial pilots licenses so that I can use my passion as a career. Ultimately I am hoping to acquire the tools and knowledge needed to start my own airline. The goal is to start an air taxi service for the Midwest region. Immediately my goal is to graduate with a double major in Aviation Flight Science and Aviation Administration with a general Business minor. I would like to graduate with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better, for personal reasons, and also to make me a more impressive job candidate. I plan on using the education and life skills learned here at Western Michigan University to improve society and the life around me.
