My major is elementary education with a minor in early childhood. I am also minoring in math and science. I have most of my educatioin classes that I need to graduate. I have learned a great deal form all of the courses I have taken since I have attented Western Michigan University.
With all of the english and language arts classes I have taken at college I have written many papers. I have written paper on the development and growth of children, how children learn and what is the best way, what each child should be learning at a certian age in their life, and I have observed several classrooms and have responed to what I saw and learned during that time. I also pre-interned for a semester and am currently going to classrooms twice a week to teach.
I grew up around children all my life. My mom used to run a daycare and now she is an elementary teacher. I have visited her classroom numerous times and have worked with the children. I also am currently working at a daycare when I am not in class. I also have pre-interened at a local elementary school helping children with reading and teaching actual lessons. I have also helped in tutoring kids in math and science.
