Art is very importent to children. When you read a book to your child they use the illustrations to expand their imaginations. The students will relate to the illustration. They learn from the pictures they see. When a child is learning objects they can see it in a book and relate it to things they see in real life, such as a ball or a banana.

There are many different styles of art and illustrations for childrens literature. One of the most used styles that illustrators use to make their illustrations are  painting.
