I am Jennifer Backos and I am 23 years old. I have grown up in Eastern Michigan and have experienced
many amazing aspects of life already. I have traveled around Michigan visiting its natural
beauty and hope to make it to the Upper Peninsula soon. I think of myself as fun
and creative, who is up for any challenge life brings.

My life begins with my mother and father who have always been there for me. They have helped
me become the person I am today. They have always been on my side and stood behind me,
even when they had their doubts. They encouraged me to never give up and try my
hardest no matter what. My parents are the reason I have followed my dreams
in becoming a teacher. They were the ones who believed I could help
others in making their learning experience fun and excited.

I am the oldest daughter of three. My younger sister and I have become very close over the years
and I am thankful for the relationship that grew. My younger brother is just like me, caring
and compassionate for others. He has always been there to listen to my problems
and give me advice as best as he could. I love both of my siblings and
couldn't imagine my life without them, even through the fights.
I love animals and especially dogs. I have three Laso Apso's. Their names are Gucci, Gizmo, and Gigi.
They follow me around everywhere, as if they are my shadow. They listen and do not talk
back, which who could ask for anything better. I will always have animals in my
classroom, because I believe students will enjoy their company and it
allows students to take responsibility for someone
else than themselves.

I have always had a passion for teaching and I thank my boyfriend, Eric, for believing
in me and encouraging me to go for my dreams.
