that this year is another great success. Kindergarten is the beginning of a child's school career, and it is my
goal to provide my students with the best start to their education journey!
My goal for this year is to make strong connections with the children. I believe that when you make strong
connections, it only furthers their education. I want to really spend time monitoring where each student is at
in their education, so I can teach according to what my class already knows and what they need to learn more
about. I have confidence that my kindergartners will leave my room with the knowledge they need for first grade!
I attended Mancelona Elementary School from K-5th Grade. I then attended Mancelona Middle
School from 6-8th Grade. I graduated from Mancelona High School in 2005, after completing four
years there. I also attended the Traverse Bay Area Career Technical Center my senior year of high
school. I completed the Early Childhood Program there. I graduated from Western Michigan University
with a Special Education degree in 2010.
My unique skills would inclue that I am: athletic, an avid dancer, and I love to help people with their problems.
Sports are one of my passions, as is dance. I also love to talk, so feel free to chat with me!
My hobbies include spending time with my family and friends, traveling, baby-sitting, working at a chidlren's
bookstore, shopping, reading, and exercising. I have volunteered child care at MOPS as well as local
programs in my hometown, such as the White Pine Stampede and The MEF Spaghetti Dinner.
