About Me

My name is Jordan Paul Kamysiak and I am currently a senior at
Western Michigan University as of October 2009. I have completed all
courses necessary for a degree in Finance and currently working to complete a
degree in Accounting. I also have been working for National City Bank since May
of 2008 in their Lending Services Department. I ahve been an active member of
Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity since Fall 2006 and will become Alumnus this
coming spring. I hope to graduate in Spring or Summer 2010 and pursue a career
in Accounting somewhere in Michigan.
Especially in Alpena
On the east side of Michigan just above the 45th parallel you
will find the city of Alpena. This is where I was born and raised until I
graduated Alpena High School in 2005. Alpena counties' population in 2003 was
30,781 which was down 1.7% from 2000. Mainly known for its industrial base
in concrete, it is home to Lafarge Cement PLant and Besser Block Company.
Education beyond Alpena High is available at Alpena Community College which is
also well known for WCCT (World Center for Concrete Technology). Other education
facilities are also present at Alpena County Regional Airport. It is equipt with
a 9000 foot concrete airstrip and home to the Alpena Combat Readiness Training
Center.

On the Day Off
I have several hobbies that fall into a category best known as
"Motorsports." I would say this mainly derived from growing up in the
country in a family business. I enjoy watching, building, racing, and recreating
anything with a motor. Too much power is almost enough. Whether it be an
ATV, Airplane, or Car, I can't get enough.

An example that best displays this hobby would be my ATV.
I found a 2003 LTZ-400 witha blown motor back in 2004, and since have
transformed it into a highly customized performance sport quad. I have invested
over 40 hours in labor and roughly $2500 in modifications to bring it where it
is now.
Accomplishments
Home
Over the past ten years of my life, I have always made sure to
be in the exact same place on the November 15th. This would be my families
hunting cabin. From the first time my father took me with him when I was a child
up until this very day, it is one place that I truely feel connected with
nature. It has also been a place for the family to connect as well. I am proud
that I am able to participate in its upkeep and integrity over the year and in
into the future.
School
Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity is also a part of my life that
I am very proud of. Not only has it added enjoyment to my college experience, it
gave me the opportunity to meet people with the same values. I came to WMU in
Fall of 2005 and left the following summer feeling like I didn't have anything
to come back to the next year. Pledging that Fall (2006) proved to make a lare
inmpact on my life. After two terms as Philanthropy and one in Recruitment, I
felt that I was in place and actually made a difference.
