Marketing has been seen throughout every century as the exchange of “goods” (Steven Vargo 2004). But has developed and essentially evolved throughout history and is a living being just as the economy. "marketers need to reexamine their theory and practices," (Phillip Kotler 2011) and indeed they need to have hve done so in every generation. We are just stuck in a time where marketing has been the same for a very long time and needs to be changed one more with economies declining. Without change there is no posotive outcome for any economy's success.
