Collegiate Objective

I am entering college with my own agenda rather than following the college’s agenda. Yes I am here to gain knowledge of my work field in which I wish to be successful but truly that is not the only reason I am here. I once heard that the destination in life is not the important part, the most exciting and influential part is the journey. This is why I am in college mostly, I wish to find what I want my destination to be and begin my journey in life. With my family and friends by my side I have started to make my own decisions, learning every time I fall and getting up every time I do. Gaining knowledge of how I as a person work, my skills, my preferences, and who I am. Western Michigan University is my first step on the seemingly endless staircase they call life.

On a professional level I wish to obtain the knowledge and skills to place me in a successful job that I love. My goal for my GPA is to retain a 3.5 or higher, and I want to realize what my niche is in the business world. I feel college is a fresh start on school because the skills that I did not have to use in high school I am now using in college. I plan to continue my excellence in and out of the class room. Now that I am in college I will finally try in school and put my full effort into things. Doing my best is my only options now which hopefully will lead me to a successful and rewarding career somewhere in the business field.
