DR. Bush had the idea that there should be a way for scientists and researchers to have links to related works. As there was so much information being learned during that time it was hard for researchers to keep up with it all. He felt that having a way for related works to be connected the scientists would not have to “reinvent the wheel”, meaning that the same things would be researched if people in other parts of the country and globe did not know that they had already been researched. this would later on become known as hypertext. A term that was coined by Dr. Ted Nelson.
