This year I am a sophomore at Western Michigan University trying to peruse my goal in becoming a nurse.  When I was a freshman I was a bio/chem major which I came to realize was just not for me. Threw trying different classes and finding out what I was good at and truly enjoyed doing, college has shown me the path to wanting to become a nurse. I have realized that at first what I was wanting to go into I would not make enough money one to support myself or a family. I thought to myself where would I really be in ten years if I took on a bio/chem major? Thinking and about this I couldn’t  see a clear future for myself so I checked out my options and when I found nursing I saw exactly what I would be doing in the future. College has helped me realize that Nursing was the path for me to take I know that I will have a good job that is so rewarding and will make me so happy in the long run. Also who can complain if you’re happy with what you do and making good money to go along with it. I hope that this path that I have chosen from the help of my college experience will be the right one the second time threw.

On a more Professional level the Nursing Program is extremely demanding and I have to work harder than I ever have in my High school/ College career.  I need at least a 3.5 for the nursing program for them to even truly consider looking at me,  plus community service hours is not needed but extremely recommended. I will start using all the extra help that Western Michigan provides for me such as using the web site for great community service opportunities to give me a stronger chance into getting into the Nursing Program.  I have already been using the resources of tutors and the amazing Waldo’s library were I study for rufly nine hours each day. I know that this is what I am supposed to do in life and I strongly believe threw my hard work, dedication, and the resources given to me threw Western Michigan I will succeed. I know that even though this major makes my life a little more stressful then normal after I receive my degree I know that there will be a job waiting for me anywhere in the U.S.A,  that is why nursing is a great carrier because it is flexible and they are always needed. I know nursing will bring me a bright future and my success will pay off in the end.
