I am a professor of mathematics at Western Michigan University .  In past lives, I served as chair (and, more recently, acting chair ) of the Department of Mathematics , as the Director of Academic Collective Bargaining for the university, and even as interim chair of the Department of Statistics .     CV .  Official university photos: 2000 , 2007 .

Current Research Interests:

Algebraic coding theory, especially mathematical structure of linear codes over finite rings. For relevent papers and slides, click here .
