During the summers of 2001–2003, I participated in an international project exploring Viking Age settlement at Mosfell. As an osteologist and archaeologist, I gathered data on early Icelandic remains. Along with my colleagues, we presented our findings {15 KB} at the 69th SAA meeting in Montreal. Preliminary findings were also described in Antiquity. We continue to examine these data and have made new discoveries, including a long house.

Watch "A Viking Landscape" - a 15min documentary about the project.

(It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it!)
