In 2002, I performed bioarchaeological analysis of post-Medieval
skeletal remains from Transylvania. This work culminated in my advancement
to candidacy paper {11 KB}. I also
presented my analysis of the general health of this population in a poster{4.7 MB} at the 72nd AAPA
meeting in Tempe, AZ.
In 2008, a WMU undergraduate and I presented a poster {1.3 MB} on the case study of two females from this Transylvanian population with developmental dysplasia of the hip at the 15th Annual Meeting of the Midwest Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology Association in Allendale, MI. This poster culminated in a publication I co-authored with my archaeological collaborater in Satu Mare, Peter Szocs, and WMU undergraduate, Connor Hagen, published in November 2009's Paleopathology Newsletter, No.148, pp.25-35.
