Why I want to be a teacher and my philosophy
I have spent the last few years trying to figure out what it is that I want to be. Last year I decided I wanted to become a middle school teacher. I spent the summer after graduating high school, working for the YMCA kids camp. I soent the summer as a camp counselor. I spent every day interacting with kids. I enjoyed the summer so much that I cryed on the last day. After that summer I knew I wanted to spend my years working with kids!! I am currently doing my pre-student teaching in a third grade classroom and I love it. It something about the smile on kids faces, when they learn something new that makes me excited about being a teacher. I don't have all of teaching philosophy figured out yet but I know that I want to be a great teacher. To be a great teacher I feel that you need to know your student on a personal level. If you know what is going on in their lives then it is easier to get to know them and figure out the ways they learn best.
