Midterm Topic: Florida
Florida became the 27th state. It became a state on March 3, 1845. The first govenor was William D. Mosely. Today, Florida is the most visited state in the U.S because of it's natural beauty. Florida is full of beautiful beaches. The Florida Keys are a major part of the state as well. If your not into the beautiful beaches, Florida is also the home of several pro sports teams. Some of them include the Miami Dolphins(NFL), Tampa Bay Lightning(NHL), Tampa Bay Bucaneers(NFL), Florida Panthers(NHL), Orlando Magic(NBA), as well as several more. Florida is a great state to come visit.
