I was raised in Mattawan, Michigan by two wonderful parents. My mom, Lynn, is a special education teacher at Mattawan School. My dad, Jim, is the principal of a special education school in Lawrence. It is not surprising to me that I decided to teach for a career!
I also have an older brother named Brandon. He recently graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in business.
One thing that my entire family enjoys doing is traveling. We have been to several places such as Washington DC, Texas, and Mexico. One of the most amazing places we have been is Australia. The four of us spent two weeks traveling the continent and doing things such as diving in the Great Barrier Reef and visiting the Sydney Opera House. It is an experience that I will never forget!
When I am older I hope to continue to travel and eventually see every continent! My ideal trip would be a safari in South Africa.
Besides traveling, I also enjoy spending time with my friends. Even though we will eventually move apart in order to continue our career choices, I know that we will stay in touch!
