- Grew up in Clinton Township, MI
- Attended Chippewa Valley High School
- Danced locally for 17 years; member of both JV and Varsity HS dance teams
- Won a National Championship in 2003
- Team captain in 2003-2004
- Varsity team set highest score record in 2005 in Lake Orion, MI (still hold the record, 4 points from a perfect 400)
- I was awarded a "Break the Floor" scholarship in 2006

- Completed undergraduate studies at Michigan State University
- Majored pre-law in international relations; minor in public relations
- Did not miss a single home football or basketball game from 2006-2010
- Attended Final Four in 2009 and 2010 (for $35 total!)
- Worked at Forest Akers Golf Course & Applebee's

- Moved to Kalamazoo, summer of 2010
- Completed graduate studies at Western Michigan University in 2012
- Volunteered at home basketball games and the MAC cross country championship in 2010
- Works at Battle Creek Parks & Recreation
