During my past year at Western Michigan University I have gained vast knowledge through both studies and living on my own. In the years before this I never spent a week without seeing my parents at some point but over my first year of college I adapted to not having my parents watching my every step. I have obtained the skills to make my own decisions with little guidance from my parents on topics that will greatly affect my life. College has given me an opportunity for growth in my personality and career wise.
At the beginning of the year I selected to take part in the block scheduling at the Hayworth College of Business in order to try to graduate in about four years. The block scheduling allows me to take part in smaller classes with twenty four people I will work with for two years. Partaking in this program allows me to form bonds with these business people and possibly create valuable connections for future contacts in the business world. As of this year I have selected not to join any clubs because I wish to improve my grades in order to become involved with the business fraternity during my junior year of college.
