As a freshman at Western Michigan University I have been able to experience many different things that I never faced in High School. The different obstacles along the way have made a significant difference in my life so far. Things such as meeting new people, changes in my everyday schedule and not being able to do some of the things I once did.
I’m currently working on a business degree so that I can become an entrepreneur. I am also working on a dance minor so I will still be able to carry out my dream of dancing. My goal is to own a chain of dance schools across the country. College has taught me so much so far. I have learned to be more responsible and more attentive as well as have learned to be a leader and to work with others, especially with working on a business degree.
On a more personal level, being in this atmosphere has directed me onto a new path. Others before me can look at me with pride, and I can be an example to someone who is just starting to experience the world and themselves from a new perspective, such as I am. I look forward to the many things that are coming my way as a college student and as a changed individual. |
