Lori Krum -- Office Coordinator

The 6th edition has been ordered. There is a 7th edition, but it isn't scheduled to come out until January 2012, which seems like cutting it a bit fine. Either the 6th or 7th edition will work for PHYS-1070 in Spring 2012, however.

PHYS-1070 is usually taught in 1110 Rood and sometimes the big lecture hall, 1104 Rood. However, this semester, we're in 1118 Rood, which is sort of the mirror twin of 1110 Rood. Normally this is a Geology lecture hall -- it doesn't connect with the Physics Demo Equipment Room. Also, you'll notice that there is no center aisle. We have lots of people registered for our class, so you will not be able to just sit all in (a) the back rows and/or (b) the outside aisle seats. Given that it's winter, this will be lots of "fun" to deal with all the heavy coats as well.
If you already know where 1110 Rood is, just go into the little corridor past the fish*** -- and 1118 Rood is right there on the northwest corridor of the building.

*** 10 points for the first person to tell me in class what kind of fish this is. (It's a Coelacanth.)
Estimated Pre-Finals Grades can be found here. FINAL COURSE GRADES AND BREAKDOWN BY CATEGORY FOR PHYS-1070 Spring 2012.
NOTE: There are Exam 1's from previous semesters with solutions -- most Sample Exams do NOT come with solutions, so you can learn how to assess your own answers. PTPBIP!

Two full hours. Yes, the Final Exam is cumulative. Roughly ¼ Exam 1 material, ¼ Exam 2, ¼ Exam 3 and ¼ the material since Exam 3. But you've seen the Sample Final Exams.
