The Matrix Reloaded Spoilage...
If you missed staying around for the credits, we basically get to see a
fast-edit image/clip fest first trailer for The Matrix Revolutions.
It's narrated by The Oracle (in character) and it features Agent Smith,
rain, a quarter million Sentinels pouring into Zion, those big fighting
machines we saw in Zion and One Last Chance... dare I say it, One Last
Choice for Neo -- or doom for everyone.
Cool.
For What It's Worth, I don't think that Reloaded ends in the
real world -- I think that they are still in the Matrix.
(1) Neo shouldn't have been able to stop the Sentinels. I don't think
he "gains" superpowers in the real world.
(2) The guy with the short beard who tried to knife Neo, who wanted his
captain to volunteer to help Neo and who was the sole survivor of the battle
at the junction and is lying on the sick bay slab next to Neo -- he's
working for The Matrix (or for Agent Smith), possibly like our "friend
from Memento" from The Matrix, who wanted to trade our
heroes for a virtual steak dinner. But how can this work? Well...
(3) Why should we believe a single word that The Architect tells us? I
think Zion and the world of the liberated ex-Matrix plug-ins is just another
layer of control, giving The Architect a way to regain control if Neo makes
the "wrong" choice in the Mainframe Core.
(4) Agent Smith is not/never was just "an agent". He's a
control program -- a manifistation of The Architect (or else The Architect
is a red herring and Smith is the Number One) and designed to mess with Mr.
Anderson.
Of course, this is just my speculations... doesn't mean anything.
