This course is the second in a two-semester introductory biology sequence for majors and minors in the Department of Biological Sciences.  The overall course goal is to provide students with an understanding of and appreciation for the tremendous range of biological diversity on Earth, how different life forms came to exist, how they interact with each other and with the physical environment, and the issues that threaten their future.

The course prerequisite is BIOS 1500 with a grade of C or better.
