Creating Forms in Dreamweaver

Forms allow you to get structured feedback from your viewers. Sometimes, this is very useful.

In order to create forms using dreamweaver, follow the steps below.

Step 1:

Select Insert > Form as shown below

A red dotted rectangular box appears with the cursor inside the box (as shown below).

Step 2:

Define the appropriate action in the properties window of the form. This will often need the help of your network server administrator.

 

Step 3: Insert the appropriate form objects as shown below

Text Field

Define the properties of the text field.

Check box and Radio Button Objects.

These two are very similar. The graphic below shows the checkbox object. Make sure that you enter the 'Checked value'. This is what will be sent to the server.

This is how it looks on a web page.

Select your school district

 

The graphic below shows the windows in Dreamweaver.

Buttons

This is the last step. Enter the button for submitting or resetting the form.
