Collegiate Objective

I obviously came to college to seek a degree, but I am finding there is a lot more for me to learn here. First of all, I have gained something that I never realized I was missing out on; independence. Having to learn to balance my time is teaching me about prioritizing everything in my life. It is also opening my eyes to the world. I come from a small town where I know everyone. Being at Western Michigan University is showing me what life is like outside of my comfortable little town. Anyway college is the next step in my life to teach me how to grow up and take care of myself.

On a more professional level, I am here to take the step that will single handedly determine my future. This will determine not only what job I will get, but also I will learn life lessons that will help me make personal decisions. I have also decided to set a goal of keeping my GPA above a 3.50 the whole time I attend Western Michigan University. I would also like to take being here one step further by getting an internship and job shadowing. This will hopefully help my resume stand out a little more to employers.  Eventually I would like to join a group or club that is based on my major.
