Readings Questions:

You should read the section before attempting any reading questions or problems. Remember that you are responsible for all definitions and examples. Also remember to keep the answers to the reading questions on a separate piece of paper; these will be randomly collected from time to time.

1)   What is the difference between a first order differential equation and a linear differential equation?

2)   The book shows you how to transform Eq (7) on page 59 into the equation  (top of page 60). How does this help us? (ie what method would you use to solve the diff eqn ?)

3)     a) What is a Bernoulli equation?
        b) Do #44 page 70.
        c) How does this help us? (ie what method would you use to solve the resulting linear diff eqn from #44?)
