Readings Questions:
You should read the section before attempting any reading questions or problems. Remember that you are responsible for all definitions and examples. Also remember to keep the answers to the reading questions on a separate piece of paper; these will be randomly collected from time to time.

 1)   Define in your own words each of the following terms. Include examples to clarify your definitions.
        a)   terminal speed                 b)  escape velocity

 2)  Verify either directly or by substitution that Eq (5) is a solution of Eq (4) on page 96.

 3)  Explain the reason for the answer to the limit in Eq (6) on page 96.

 4)  Explain why Eq(11) on page 98 was broken into two cases (upward motion and downward motion) when the author solved the differential equation.

 5)  Do #15 page 104.
