Collegiate Objective
I have entered college for many reasons. Of course I want to gain a higher level of education that will benefit me in the future, but I also entered to discover more about myself and learn more about the world that I am in. Before college, I was lost about the person I was and who I wanted to become, but since I chose Western Michigan University that has all changed. Even though I have been here for a short amount of time, this university is like a second home to me. I have met true friends that will encourage me to just be myself and let me grow as a person. Overall, I hope out of this whole experience I gain a better understanding on who I want to become and continue to grow as an individual.
On a professional level, I want to learn more about the profession that I have chosen. Going into college, I had some insight as to what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, which is marketing. Marketing is something that I have always had interest in. I have been in many business clubs that did steer me towards that major. I would like to achieve and maintain a 4.0 GPA throughout my collegiate career. I know it will be difficult, but no one said college would be easy. Additionally, I will like to join many various business clubs across campus. I believe by joining many of these clubs it will link me towards different opportunities where I am able to network myself. Currently, I am a part of a sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi, which has networked me through many different mediums. I also would love to study abroad to get a better understanding about different cultures around the world. I think this opportunity will make me an overall better rounded person. When I graduate from college, I hope some of these experiences will help me find my future employment.
