THEA 4000: Digital Audio Technology
A course in the use of digital audio technology, equipment and software for for theatre design, focusing on the hands on operation on the equipment and resources in the Gilmore Theatre Complex.

GTC Design Studio
This course is an overview of Digital Audio Systems and their use. It will focus on the digital audio equipment available in the Gilmore Theatre Complex. Students will learn how to use and operate the audio equipment through demonstration and hands on experience. This course will also touch on digital audio playback software. A portion of this course will be seminar based with students presenting to the rest of the class.

ATTENDANCE:
Attendance is taken at the beginning of each class. If you come to class late, you are welcome, but will be
counted absent for that class period. One absence are permitted for any reason including religious
observations. Additional absences will lower your final grade one letter grade for each absence. Illness with
a valid medical excuse from the health center or a private physician is an excused absence. It is the
students responsibility to make up any missed in-class work and get notes on material covered in class.
