DESCRIPTION
Techtronic Industries makes not only the tools for a home-improvement project but also the vacuum cleaners to tidy up afterward. The firm makes and markets Ryobi power tools and Ryobi and Homelite outdoor power equipment. Its OWT Industries makes Ridgid tools. Ryobi and Ridgid products are sold exclusively at Home Depot. Through its Royal Appliance Mfg. unit it makes such floor-care appliances as Regina, Royal, Dirt Devil, and Vax. It added the Hoover name to its portfolio in February 2007. Techtronic also manufactures solar-powered, laser and electronic-measuring products. Atlas Copco sold its electric tool business, including Milwaukee Electric Tool and Atlas Copco Electric Tools, to Techtronic in early 2005.
