I plan on going to school to get a degree in business management. I want to open my own business with my degree; I plan on opening something for younger children and maybe even a non-profit. I have had some experience first had because back home in Grand Rapids I was a manager at an ice cream shop. I was able to see what all goes into running and maintaining a good successful small business.

And an increasing number of entrepreneurs have concluded that business plans take too long to write and become outdated too quickly. They skip the plan, which they consider an old economy relic, and go straight to market with a product or service, modifying their strategy in real time.”(Zimmerman) In the business world today people skip steps in starting a business and jump right to the “fun” stuff. When they do that they will end up risking the business and it may not stay open too long.
