The Film, Video and Media Studies major places emphasis on film, radio and television production. Students in this major can create a specialization in film, radio, television or multi-media or may choose an array of classes to give them a broad media degree.

Careers in the field vary from news anchor to videographer.

There are many aspects of production which must come together in order for a program to be created, such as videotaping and editing, as well as the management, directing and acting.Students seeking a media related career must be versatile and flexible because of the odd hours and pressure that can come with careers in this field.
