Fire-Proof Safe Purchased to Secure Alumni Records

The executive committee voted in April, 2008 to purchase a fire-proof safe to secure alumni association records. This action was taken after learning that our second set of records, stored at the school, were no longer to be found. That left only the set of records that Gary Buckland has been so gracious to allow us to store at the Buckland agency.

Nancy Kroes was able to aquire this safe on Ebay for a total of $179.48. The same safe purchased locally runs in the $400-500 range. Nancy has also donated the "label" for the new safe. We'll be asking folks to dig a bit deeper when they donate at the banquet in May, to cover the cost of this extra purchase. I'm sure we all want to know our records, which go back to our beginning in 1937, are safe and secure!
