I believe that this course is very beneficial to all business majors, no matter what area their specialty is. Information Technology is used by all departments in a company, from human resources, to research and development to accounting. It is important that we all learn the different ways that information technology can be used to better our companies. Information Technology has also gained importance due to globalization. Communicating fast and effectively across millions of miles has become a necessity for many companies. Information Technology is used by both companies and consumers to ease communication. The knowledge that is learned in this class applies to other course within the business college as well, such as marketing and management. We can learn ways to better perform these functions by using information technology. In the fast paced and changing business environment today, it is extremely important for all employees in a company to fully understand and utilize information technology.
