On a personal level, i am attending college for many reasons. One is that i simply want to find out who i am as a person. When a person goes to college, they are faced with making decisions on their own and they are faced with having to choose what it is they value and what it is they would like to put their time and energy into. By putting myself in situations where i will need to make choices and decide how i want to do certain things, i will be able to find out what it is i truly value in life, and i will be able to get a better sense of who i am as an individual instead of who i am as a part of my family and as a part of my hometown.

On a professional level, i hope to achieve many things here at Western Michigan University. As a high-school student, i never seemed to excel in any of my classes. Now that i have a chance to start anew at Western Michigan, i hope to be able to achieve great things in my studies. I hope to earn a 3.5 or higher GPA each semester. I would also like to join a few clubs so that i will be able to gain more experience with group activities and working with more diverse groups of people. This will help prepare me for my professional career. A goal i have for graduation is to have a good job lined up so that i can get the proper experience to make a good career for myself someday. Even a small internship will help me in getting access to the world of business.
