Collegiate Objectives

I decided to go to college to better my education after high school and to put myself in a position where it would be easier for me to find work int he future. Growing up with only one parent around made me see the necessity of a degree to be able to financially support yourself and your family. College to me though is not just about finding a building or a making it to a class on time, it's about figuring out exactly who I am as a person and finding the incredible people I call my friends along the way.

Being a student at Western Michigan University has given me the chance to find my perfect career and to apply my skills and knowledge towards becoming a professional business woman. I hope to graduate with a GPA of a 3.0 or higher and I have been consistently working as hard as I can to achieve that. Moving through the halls of high school is so much less fulfilling than strolling the campus of Kalamazoo because it doesn't give you any opportunity to grow. Western is allowing me to become a better student. It isn't opening doors for me as much as it is showing me how to use a key to open them myself.
