Objective

Initially I did not know where I was going to go for college, but I have always loved helicopters and thus decided to major in Aviation Flight Science. My three choices for colleges were Western Michigan University, Purdue University, and Ohio State University. I wanted to go to a small college, and Western was by far the smallest of the three, it was also the closest university, which was appealing because it would be nice to go home whenever I wanted. Currently I am double majoring in Aviation Flight Science and Criminal Justice. My first choice of occupation out of high school was to join the armed services and become a helicopter pilot. Unfortunately, a Marine recruiter broke the news to me that I would not be able to join any armed service because I have a relatively insignificant case of asthma. This incident caused me to revise my choices for occupation. With my double major, I intend on either becoming an aviator for a commercial airline, or a police officer, more specifically a S.W.A.T. officer. I think that most of my drive comes from my mechanical and logistical point of view on life; this is probably part of the reason that I am intrigued by weapons so much. Weapons destructive means and our ability to control that destruction is part of what I enjoy about the relatively dangerous occupations. Therefore, ideally I envision myself in the future as a S.W.A.T. officer on a police force. I am also possibly considering joining the Coast Guard regardless of the fact that I have asthma. Nevertheless, as for my future I guess only time will tell.
