Local Artist Does OK.

DJ PJ's, a musician new to Kalamazoo has been dropping the beat without dropping the ball. He has been rocking shows all over Kzoo since January of this year and his Blackberry is booked. Michael Paeplow, tagged DJ PJ's, is a workhorse. PJ's is doing all he can to get his name out and expand his repertoir. Booking shows as often as possible, PJ's says hes just doing what he has to to make it happen. "This line of music is blowin' up" says PJ's. "New DJ's are popping up every day, and everybody will tell you they're the new hot shit. I guess that's one method of selling yourself, but I'd rather people make that decision about me on their own." PJ's says he's always needed a creative outlet in his life and if he can be creative for a living, he'll do it. PJ's has two albums out and his third is due out this summer. The best way to describe PJ's music is FRESH. "I always like to hear that word used in my reviews because really, that's my goal." said PJ's. PJ's has a lot to say infact, about his music, and about life. When asked about his music, PJ's says, "I'm a perfectionist, which makes it really hard for me to release anything... I never can accept that a work is completed. Getting to the top means getting people to like what your doing, my mind is always wrapped around that. Also, music is always changing, which keeps some musicians from staying on top, or ever reaching the top. So what happens when you get famous for drawing circles, and then you start drawing squares? I guess that answer to that is don't get famous for drawing circles... ya feel me?"
