A little about the creator...

Mike Fish was born, raised, and educated in Kalamazoo, Michigan by Leone Kirklin and Chris Fish. He graduated from Mattawan High School in 2007 and since 2010 has been persuing a degree in Media Communications with a focus on Audio Production.

Since 2008 he has been a part of the studio media program at Western Sound Studios in the School of Music at Dalton Center and has also served since 2010 as a sound technician for the School of Music, the Jazz Studies program, and WMU Gold Company. In addition he has conducted a number of his own sessions both for friends, clients, and his own band(s) both live and in the studio. He has worked with a number of high profile musicians, technicians, and on a high profile shows such as the Michigan Music Conference, the American Choral Directors Association conference in Chicago, assisted Bryan Farina on shows for artists like Kurt Elling, The New York Voices, Paquito D'Rivera, VOX Audio, and more.

In his persuit of a career in audio, Fish obtained an Audio Technician position at Bell's Brewery in Kalamazoo Michigan in spring of 2013. Using his experience working shows like Wicked, Blue Man Group, Celtic Woman, Manheim Steamroller, and others at Miller Auditorium, he hopes to be a valuable addition to the technical team at Bell's.

Fish is aware that this webpage is a serious overview for options in audio and would like to find more time to update and extrapolate on this, the Essential Audio Reference.
